2014 Adelaide Fringe Award Winners announced

Michael Griffiths_Stefan ElliotAs the curtain comes down on the 2014 Adelaide Fringe, it’s time to announce what were considered the best shows of the festival.

The big winner of the night was Five.Point.One’s Notoriously Yours by Van Badham taking out 3 Awards (A.F.C. inSPACE:development, Adelaide Critic’s Circle and Flinders University ‘Behind the Scene’), while  The Boy with Tape on his Face: MORE TAPE took out 2 Awards – BankSA Best Comedy and BankSA Pick of the Fringe.

This year, the Fringe program featured a record 966 events consisting of107 cabaret shows, 25 circus and physical theatre shows, 112 theatre productions, 269 comedy events, 32 dance shows, 4 film events, 198 music concerts, 113 art exhibitions, 41 children’s events and 64 special events, making it a very tough choice for the judges.
